If you're willing to care for the floor properly with wood-specific cleaners, engineered hardwood rewards that care with a floor that looks and feels like no other material.
What you can expect from our installation
Subfloor assessment
We check for level, moisture, and whether your slab or subfloor requires adhesive installation. On concrete slabs, high-quality adhesive is often critical — Julio assesses this on every job before a plank goes down.
Acclimation
Where the manufacturer requires acclimation, we follow it — engineered hardwood needs time to adjust to your home's specific humidity before installation begins. No shortcuts that could compromise the floor later.
Cutting outside
All material is cut outside your home. Dust stays out. Your furniture, your walls, and your air stay clean. That's not extra — that's the standard.
Final walkthrough
We walk every inch of the floor with you before we take final payment. If something isn't right, we fix it on the spot. We don't leave until you're satisfied.
When we'd steer you toward LVP instead
Bathrooms, laundry rooms, entryways, and any area with regular moisture exposure are not the right fit for engineered hardwood — and neither are vacation homes or properties where the AC is off for extended periods. The humidity fluctuations will work against the floor over time.
If you want truly waterproof, low-maintenance flooring, or you prefer mopping freely without worrying about moisture damage, LVP is the smarter call.
We'd rather tell you that now than have you unhappy with your floors later.
Engineered hardwood vs. LVP
| LVP | Engineered Hardwood | |
|---|---|---|
| Look | Realistic hardwood print | Genuine hardwood top layer |
| Resale value | Good, but below real wood | Strong — real wood adds perceived value |
| Waterproof | Yes — 100% waterproof | No — moisture-sensitive |
| Scratch resistance | Good — especially SPC core | Moderate |
| Maintenance | Regular sweeping, damp mop | Wood-specific cleaners, careful moisture control |
| Refinishing | Cannot be refinished | Up to 3 times depending on veneer thickness |
| Best rooms | Any room including wet areas | Living rooms, bedrooms, offices, hallways |
