No — material selection is part of our process. During your in-home consultation we assess your space, understand how you use the room, and recommend the right material for your specific situation. We source and supply what we recommend. If you've already purchased materials elsewhere, we're happy to install them provided they meet our installation standards — we'll verify specs before the job starts.

It depends on the material and the size of the space. LVP and carpet move faster — most rooms are done in one to two days. Tile takes longer because of setting and grout curing time — plan for two to four days depending on complexity. We give you a specific timeline at the estimate, not after we’ve already started.

Flooring installation in Florida doesn't require a state license — and most flooring companies won't tell you that. We carry business liability insurance and operate as a registered LLC. What truly protects you is choosing a company that stands behind its work — and that's a commitment we make on every job.

The short answer is yes — and most of our clients do stay home the entire time without issue.

Phased Access: We work room-by-room or in sections, so you'll always have a comfortable "safe zone." Certain areas will be off-limits for a few hours while the subfloor is prepped or new floors are being set, but your home stays functional.

Noise & Dust: Installation involves power tools and some level of dust — it's unavoidable with demo and cutting. That said, we contain dust aggressively with barriers and clean as we go, so you won't have dust settling throughout your home. The work area will have some dust and noise during active work, but your living spaces stay clean. If you work from home or have napping toddlers, you might prefer to step out during the loudest hours, but many of our clients stay home the whole time without issue.

Safety First: For the safety of your family (and our team!), we ask that children and pets stay completely clear of the work area. Between sharp transition strips, heavy materials, and open subfloors, it's best to keep the work zone strictly for the pros.

HVAC Matters: For proper flooring acclimation required on some flooring materials, your home should maintain a consistent temperature (60°F–80°F) before, during, and after installation. However, we DO turn off your HVAC system during dusty work like tile removal or demolition to protect your system from debris. We'll coordinate with you on timing. We cover and seal vents during demo work to keep your ducts clean.

Yes — demo and removal is part of what we do. We tear out your old floor, contain the dust at the source, and leave the subfloor clean and prepped before anything new goes down. You won’t come home to a debris pile. The job site is clean before we leave every single day.

Just clear the small items — lamps, rugs, plants, and personal belongings. We move the heavy furniture at no additional cost: sofas, beds, dining tables, dressers. The only exceptions are specialty items like pianos, pool tables, or gun safes — we'll work around those or coordinate with a specialty mover. For homeowners, that's it. We handle the rest.

We love pets — but for their safety, please keep them in a gated area or separate room during installation. Open doors, power tools, sharp transition strips, and wet adhesive are not a good combination for curious animals. Once the final walkthrough is done, they’re welcome back.

For wet and high-traffic areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and entryways, porcelain tile and LVP are your most reliable options. For living spaces, the right answer depends on how you live in your home — your lifestyle, your household, and how the room gets used every day. That's exactly why we assess your space and listen before we ever recommend a material.

Yes — and most homeowners don’t think to ask this. Concrete slabs in Florida naturally emit moisture, which can affect flooring performance over time regardless of what’s installed on top. We assess slab conditions before every installation. It’s one of the first things we check.

Two warranties apply to most installations — the manufacturer’s warranty on the material, and our workmanship warranty on the installation itself. They cover different things. We’ll walk you through both before the job starts so you know exactly what’s protected and what isn’t.

Waterproof means liquid cannot penetrate the material itself — LVP and tile fall into this category. Water-resistant means it can handle splashes and minor moisture but will eventually absorb water if exposed long enough. In Florida, that distinction matters more than in most states. We’ll tell you which one your room actually needs.
